ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
Matthew Flatley is a Brooklyn based choreographer and visual artist. After receiving his BFA in Dance from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, he performed with Brian Brooks Moving Company from 2013-2019, and assisted with commissions for Miami City Ballet and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. He was a cast member in Third Rail Project’s immersive shows ‘Then She Fell’ and ‘The Grand Paradise’, as well as Christopher Williams’ dance-opera ‘A Wolf in Skins’. He has also performed works by Kate Weare, Wally Cardona, Sonya Tayeh, Tyce Diorio, and Seán Curran. As a choreographer, his work has been presented at The Museum of Art and Design, TEMP Art Space, Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, Ailey Citigroup Theatre, and the Salvatore Capezio Theatre. He also choreographed the music video ‘Renaissance Girls’ for recording artist, Oh Land, and has been an Artist-in-Residence at Bethany Arts Community and Chapman Steamer Arts.
